    Default Game Engine

    Hey,

First, I loved Runaway 1, and i'm anxiously awating to play the English version of Runaway 2, once it's released. Great work !
The game i'm making is inspired by your on some levels.

This is a similar question i've been asking adventure game developers all around in this conference.
What game engine and technologies did you use to make Runaway 1 and 2 ?

Runaway 1 is full of pre rendered cell shaded cutscenes, but the game itself is hand drawn and the characters are 2d sprites as far as i know. What's in store for Runaway 2 ? Are you going to use realtime cel shading ?

    Thanks !
    Oded

    Hello Oded,

It's great you liked the first Runaway because you're gonna love the sequel. The engine is inspired on the one in Runaway but with many improvements. The style is the same and we use quite a lot of internal tools for the developing.

How much of the engine and tools were developed in house ?

There are no plans for such thing. At least not for now.
