Uploading files guide

Οι ιστοσελίδες με τις οποίες θα ασχοληθούμε είναι οι εξής :

Imageshack , Free Image Hosting , Mediafire , Dota-Allstars , Rapidshare , Megaupload

Φυσικά υπάρχουν και άλλες ιστοσελίδες οι οποίες παρέχουν αυτή την υπηρεσία. Σκοπός του οδηγού είναι να σας δείξει τα βήματα που ακολουθούνται στα συγκεκριμένα site ώστε να ανεβάσουμε ένα αρχείο. Είστε ελεύθεροι να επιλέξετε όποιο θέλετε.



[Imageshack]

- Url : http://www.imageshack.us/
- Κάντε click στο browse, βρείτε και επιλέξτε την εικόνα που θέλετε να ανεβάσετε και πατήστε Άνοιγμα.
- Πατήστε στο start upload!
- Η εικόνα σας έχει γίνει upload. Καλό θα ήταν αν θέλετε να ποστάρετε μια αρκετά μεγάλη εικόνα (π.χ screenshot από το παιχνίδι) να βάζετε το thumbnail link (Thumbnail for forums (1),(2)) και όχι το direct link.





[Free Image Hosting]

- Url : http://www.freeimagehosting.net/
- Κάντε click στο choose, βρείτε και επιλέξτε την εικόνα που θέλετε να ανεβάσετε και πατήστε Άνοιγμα.
- Πατήστε στο upload image.
- Η εικόνα σας έχει γίνει upload. Καλό θα ήταν αν θέλετε να ποστάρετε μια αρκετά μεγάλη εικόνα (π.χ screenshot από το παιχνίδι) να βάζετε το thumbnail link (Thumbnail code for most forums) και όχι το direct link.



**Σημείωση** Είναι προφανές πως στο imageshack και free image hosting μπορείτε να κάνετε upload μόνο εικόνες.



[Mediafire]

- Url : http://www.mediafire.com/
- Στο πάνω μέρος της ιστοσελίδας θα δείτε την επιλογή Upload Files To Mediafire. Κάντε click πάνω της.
- Τώρα έχετε τρεις επιλογές, να κάνετε έναν δωρεάν λογαριασμό στο Mediafire ( I'll create a free account now), να ανεβάσετε αρχεία χωρίς λογαριασμό (I want to upload without an account) ή αν έχετε ήδη κάποιο account να κάνετε log in (Ι'll log in now). Δεν έχει ιδιαίτερη σημασία ποια θα επιλέξετε, για χάρη απλότητας θα ακολουθήσουμε την δεύτερη επιλογή τώρα, I want to upload without an account, αν και καλό θα ήταν να έχετε έναν λογαριασμό αν ανεβάζετε συχνά αρχεία.
- Αφού λοιπόν clickάρετε στη δεύτερη επιλογή, θα εμφανιστεί ένα παράθυρο για να διαλέξετε το αρχείο που θέλετε να ανεβάσετε. Βρείτε και επιλέξτε το αρχείο που θέλετε και πατήστε Άνοιγμα.
- Έχετε την δυνατότητα να προσθαφαιρέσετε αρχεία με τις επιλογές Remove / Add more files.
- Όταν καταλήξετε σε ποια αρχεία θέλετε να ανεβάσετε, κάντε click στο start upload στα δεξιά.
- Διαλέξτε τον φάκελο στον οποίο θέλετε να κάνετε upload τα αρχεία
- Είστε έτοιμοι ! Περιμένετε να τελειώσει το upload progress και θα έχετε το link για download το οποίο θα δίνετε στα άτομα που θέλετε να κατεβάσουν τα αρχεία σας. Μπορείτε να το αντιγράψετε είτε χειρωνακτικά είτε με το κουμπί copy link.





[Dota-Allstars]

- Url : http://www.dota-allstars.com/
- Κάντε click στο Replays από τα μενού που βρίσκονται στο πάνω μέρος της ιστοσελίδας.
- Έπειτα κάντε click στο Upload Replays στα δεξιά.
- Κάντε click στο Choose, βρείτε και επιλέξεξτε το replay που θέλετε να ανεβάσετε και πατήστε Άνοιγμα.
- Διαλέξτε Realm (Northrend Europe) και Category (pub game) , ορίστε έναν τίτλο για το replay, διαλέξετε ποια ομάδα κέρδισε και γράψτε δυο λόγια στο description (π.χ o emplar einai karafeedaklas).
- Αφού τελειώσετε με όλα αυτά κάντε click στο Upload.
- Είστε έτοιμοι ! To download link θα σας δοθεί με έντονα κίτρινα γράμματα.

**Σημείωση** Στο Dota-Allstars μπορείτε να κάνετε upload μόνο replays.





[Rapidshare]

- Url : www.rapidshare.com
- Κάντε click στο choose.
- Βρείτε και επιλέξτε το αρχείο που θέλετε να κάνετε upload, πατήστε Άνοιγμα
- Κάντε click στο upload.
- Είστε έτοιμοι ! Tο download link θα σας δοθεί με έντονα μπλε γράμματα.

**Σημείωση** Τα αρχεία που ανεβάζετε στο rapidshare μπορούν να γίνουν download μέχρι 10 φορές και θα διαγραφούν μετά από 90 μέρες χωρίς download. Προτείνετε να κάνετε ένα Collector's account.





[Megaupload]

- Url : www.megaupload.com
- Κάντε click στο browse, βρείτε και επιλέξτε το αρχείο που θέλετε να ανεβάσετε και πατήστε Άνοιγμα.
- Δώστε μια μικρή περιγραφή του αρχείου σας (πχ o stellas einai likis).
- Πατήστε send.
- Είστε έτοιμοι ! Το download link θα σας δοθεί με πορτοκαλί γράμματα.





[Dota-Alliance]

- Στο καινούργιο thread/reply που θα κάνετε κατεβείτε με την μπάρα κύλισης προς τα κάτω. Στο μενού Additional Options βρείτε το Attach Files και πατήστε στο manage attachments. Στο καινούργιο παραθυράκι που θα εμφανιστεί θα έχετε δύο επιλογές. Είτε να ανεβάσετε ένα αρχείο από τον υπολογιστή σας είτε να δώσετε κάποιο link.
- Έστω λοιπόν ότι το αρχείο είναι αποθηκευμένο στον υπολογιστή σας, κάντε click στο choose, βρείτε και επιλέξτε το αρχείο που θέλετε να ανεβάσετε και πατήστε Άνοιγμα.
- Κάντε click στο upload και είστε έτοιμοι !



**Σημείωση** Το όριο μεγέθους στα αρχεία που επιτρέπει το dota-alliance είναι εξαιρετικά μικρό, εκτός και αν το αρχείο είναι .rar (συμπιεσμένα αρχεία), τα οποία μπορούν να φτάσουν μέχρι και 8.58 mb.

The sites that we will use to upload our files are the following :

Imageshack , Free Image Hosting , Mediafire , Dota-Allstars , Rapidshare , Megaupload

Obviously there are other sites providing this service as well. The purpose of this tutorial is to guide you step by step using these sites to upload a file. You are free to choose the site that suits you best.



[Imageshack]

- Url : http://www.imageshack.us/
- Click browse , find and choose the picture/screenshot you want to upload and press Open
- Press start upload!
- Your picture has been uploaded. If you want to post a quite big picture (for example an ingame screenshot) it is recommended to post the thumbnail link (Thumbnail for forums (1) , (2) ) instead of the direct link.





[Free Image Hosting]

- Url : http://www.freeimagehosting.net/
- Click Choose , find and choose the picture/screenshot you want to upload and press Open.
- Press the option Upload Image.
- Your picture has been uploaded. If you want to post a quite big picture (for example an ingame screenshot) it is recommended to post the thumbnail link (Thumbnail code for most forums ). instead of the direct link.



**Note** Obviously at Imageshack and Free Image Hosting you can upload only pictures.



[Mediafire]

- Url : http://www.mediafire.com/
- In the upper place of the page you will see the option Upload Files To Mediafire. Click this option.
-Now you have 3 options , to make a new free account at Mediafire , to upload files without an account or if you already have an account to log in. It doesnt matter which way you prefer but for simplicity we will follow the second option (i want to upload files without an account), even though it would be good to register a new account if you intend to upload files often.
-After you click the second option (I want to upload without an account) a new window will appear , in this new window find and pick the file you want to upload and press Open.
-It is possible to add and remove files with the options Remove/Add more files.
-When you finish choosing which files you want to upload click Start Upload.
-Choose the folder you want to upload the files.
-And Voila! your file has been uploaded.. Wait for the completion of the Upload Progress bar and then you will have the download link which you can give to the persons you want to download the files you uploaded..You can copy the link either the traditional way (control +C) or just press the button Copy Link.





[Dota-Allstars]

- Url : http://www.dota-allstars.com/
- Click on Replays, in the upper part of the page where the menus are displayed.
- Click on Upload Replays from the right
- Click on Choose, find and select the replay you want to upload and press Open.
- Choose Realm (Northrend Europe) and Category (pub game), write a title for your replay, choose wich team won and write a small description for your replay (e.g emplar is karaprolaklas).
- When you do all the above steps click on Upload.
- Your replay has been uploaded, the dowload link will be given to you in bold yellow letters.



**Note** At Dota-Allstars you can only upload replays.



[Rapidshare]

- Url : www.rapidshare.com
- Click Choose.
- Find and choose the file you want to upload , press Open.
- Click Upload.
- The download link will be given to you in Bold Blue Letters.



**Note** The files you upload at rapidshare can only be downloaded 10 times and they will be deleted after 90 days without download. It is recommended to make a Collector's Account



[Megaupload]

- Url : www.megaupload.com
- Click Browse , find and choose the file you want to upload and press Open
- Give a short description for you file (for example : useless stellas)
- Press Send.
- The download link will be given to you in orange letters.





[Dota-Alliance]

- In your new thread or reply scroll down in the menu Additional Options find the option Attach Files and press manage attachments. In the new window that will appear you will have 2 options. To upload a file directly from you computer or to give a link.
- If the file is saved to your computer click Choose , find and choose the file you want to upload and press Open.
- Click Upload and thats it.


**Note** The limit of the files that dota-alliance permits to be uploaded is quite small unless the file is .rar (.rar files can be up to 8.58MB)
