    Default rgcp.exe has encountered a problem

    Hi,

    I downloaded the client and unzipped it, when i tried to launch by double clicking on 'rgc.exe' it gave me an error -

    " rgcp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close "

    I also saw that the patcher was trying to run in the background but eventually would fail or not respond

    What may be the cause of it ?? Also i am connected from my office.. so it that the very reason for the error?

    Any help would be appreciated

    What windows do u use? If u run Vista/7 try running as administrator

    maybe you have firewall installed in your office, and doesn't let you out ^^

    Give us more info about your problem.

    What stu said + close firewall.

    Such error is always shown when there is no internet connection, that's why it's probably firewall.

    It's very probably a connection based error, i.e. rgcp not being able to downloiad the files or the connection not being established properly.

    I will patch rgcp with 4.1 in the followign few days, but I don't think it will resolve your issue.
    Try running it from home and let us know how you get on.

    @ stu , marcvs & cnacnel,

    My using Xp Sp3,

    I tried to run as administrator but no go + my firewall is turned off

    when i run rgc it tries to download the patch and hangs,
    I have a good internet connection, its a office network we use proxy here to get connected to internet
    .. Is that a problem??

    It stops at patcher1:rankedgamingcli...
    thats all i can c and it is not responding, and it gives the error message as stated above
