    Default Bree

Here be the thread for the old medieval city of Bree, located NW of Government - in it I will outline what it means to be a citizen of Bree, how you can become one and the rules you must obey whilst staying in our city.

Bree was formed branching off from Government as a medieval style city for those of us who enjoy building castles and take pride in making them look good. So far we have many things fully constructed, our main feature and serving as an entrance for people entering the city by water will be the harbour.

As you walk through the gatehouse after arriving from the central station bridge or by using the /warp bree command you will notice the central castle; overlooking the entire city. The castle is still a WIP but visitors are allowed to browse the lower half of it.

To the south of the harbour is Olde Bree located underneath the castle, this small village has been rebuilt from its original deteriorating state into a quite beautiful place to build your home. Various plots are available with a generous height allowance and overall build area.

More small villages like Olde Bree are being planned - one will be in the center of Bree Forest which is located to the west of the main castle and can be accessed by going along the harbour, the other will be located to the north of Bree Forest.

    Plans for Bree:

    • A water transport system, in addition to the planned minecart tracks

    • Two other villages, names for which have yet to be decided

    • A city wall going around the entire territory

    • A boat house giving boat access to citizens

    • Much more

    Rules of Bree:

These need to be adhered to at all times whilst in the city, we've had a few problems with non conforming building styles and small amounts of griefing already so this is just to clarify:

    • Buildings must be made out of cobblestone or smooth stone - wood can also be used to make them look nicer (for example a wooden roof)

    • Buildings must adhere to a medieval style for inspiration you can google for images of medieval structures

    • The hierarchy needs to be obeyed, Severance is the Lord of Bree and there will be appointed leaders of the sub-villages contained within Bree

    • No digging of random tunnels under the city, these usually consist of two block high one block wide ones big enough for a person to just run through

    • If you're going to build something large, consult with someone first

    • Bree Forest is off limits for gathering wood, it is there as an attraction not a farmable resource, available tree farms are located in Cactus City and around the outskirts of Bree

    • Mushrooms are also not to be picked from within the forest

    • Don't go into people's houses unless they're there and have given you permission

More will be added as required

I hope you all enjoy visiting Bree, it has been a pleasure to construct and continue developing it.

Excellent! Building that wall was intense! Glad to be a citizen of Bree and can't wait to develop the new towns.

I'll be a bit absent for a while due to University work, but I haven't died - don't worry
