I don't understand why he should be banned if he apologised for the AFK, explaining why he had to go away too.

I don't support this.
Anything can happen in life, that can make you go afk without a warning, this guy even said what it was.
"Sorry, the police were at my door."
When you see people go afk without a warning pause and wait a bit, if they don't re keep on playing. Most of them really did have something of importance to do.
So have a bit understanding.

I agree with rest of the staff.
The idea is to be polite, sometimes unforeseen circumstances may appear, and we rest have to have understanding.
