There are quite a few paintings all over this house, and all are able to be looked at more closely. Most of these give me a very familiar feeling, as if I had seen them or at least works by the same artist. Are these original peices or pasted? If not original, does this somehow fall under fair use? ???

They are classic paintings so there's a good chance you have seem them (or similar) already. Since they're very old, they do fall under fair use. What we have to do for the final game is provide a list of the artists used (if anything, to respect them).

Alright then, I just knew I've see some of them. I like the idea of using established works because it puts the game further into this world in my mind.
