Hi
Lets introduce the project quickly for those who haven't heard about it till now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quick Info
"Until I’m Gone" is a FREEWARE project ( YEAH your heard right (still) freeware ;D !), which can everybody get for 0$ when its done). It is under development of Faraway Studios for almost 2.5 years now. The project is a “2.5D” 3rd person point-and-click adventure game with horror elements and a psychological subtext. It takes place in a small mountain village covered with snow at Christmas time. The main hero Nathan is “forced” to travel to Pitfall Mountain by his lady-friend. Soon after he arives, the village is cut off civilization due to a huge snowstorm, and Nathan, who has to stay there until the storm blows over, unwittingly starts to reveal the ‘small’ secrets of this “romantic” village...

hi,

why did you decide to release the game as freeware. the way the game looks it would be easy to charge money for it...

I'm really astonished that it is freeware project. What makes that you decided to create it?

Is it horror story ("Soon after he arives, the village is cut off civilization due to a huge snowstorm, and Nathan, who has to stay there until the storm blows over, unwittingly starts to reveal the ‘small’ secrets of this “romantic” village...
"?
Is it point'n'click game?
How long it will be?
Will puzzles be rather inventory based or logical (regarding TPP view, the first option seems more probable)?

I haven't heard much about this project, but it is really interesting. I'm looking forward to see this game finished. This winter (as it is said on your site)?

As i said here: http://250.215.232.72.reverse.layeredtech.com/~adeu/forum//index.php?topic=1410.0

"...Even when we had receive some offers from different publishers, that might be interested in selling this game, we had not (after an consultation in the team) agree to their offers. Because if we did, it would mean TONS of problems, solving the money, division the pertinent earnings to team members etc. etc., problems- simply the problems which we didnt count in the begging. And asi said, the earnings would be pertinent, nobody knows how would be the game succesfull in sellings... " There are also other reasons.

Well we love making games, i love writing, game design, graphic design, and i had worked on some adventure game before, so i just "continued" :-).

Is it point'n'click game?
Yes it is.

How long it will be?
Hard to say, we hope something about 8 hours of gameplay...? Maybe even more, it depends.

We have different types of "puzzles"- like inventory based, then "standard" first person views, and more, even some which arent so much used.

Its more "psychology" thiller then horror story (i even think that adventures just can not be a horor in the right word meaning).

From which films or books had you take the idea of the story?

How long will be the playtime?

Cool, a freeware psychology horror adventure game. Yeah. ;D And the storyline sounds great too.
One question: How many people work on this project? You must be a big adventure fanatic! That is great!

Oh, and good luck for the project!!! ;)

Well im, and most of the team, primary a game (and game development) fanatic (and BTW yeah it hurts :-) ).
The current number of team members is difficult to establish due to many reasons (some are, and always were "externist", some of the m dont work on the game the whole development, some had left because of no time etc.

This looks good! As previous posters have said, it's amazing this is freeware! :o

I hadn't heard of it before, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for news about Until I'm Gone from now on!
