I'm curious (after playing partway into Culpa) -- would you (the developers) want to live in the World Union? Would there be a place for game developers in the World Union? :)

Are you you hoping that gamers react in a specific way to the game? Are you aiming to change gamers’ attitudes – to make them think or feel differently about their own world?

Culpa Innata is premised on the idea that if certain events, global warmingh, economic reversals, conflicts etc go unchanged or even change in a specific direction what would our society, political structure be like?

Then there is the ¨butterfly effect¨are there small actions, decisions of many people or even just one person that can set into effect change. Changes that could affect even an entire political structure or even a world.

Nothing in this game has to be true, or should become true - we certainly ´hope it won´t be the future near or far.

If some adv games are said to be designed around serious stories and deeper plots, then they should also linger with gamers, now games are games and should also entertain, engage, divert and even be just fun.

So we designed this story in layers. You can play the game, best the challenges, meet the quirky characters, and get an ending. Some will not worry much or even encounter all the deeper issues, subtle references

For others there are those things to argue about, wonder if that´s what was meant, ask questions think on what sort of place we would like to leave for other generations or even ourselves in our lifetime.

So on a deeper level we are putting some questions out there hoping it will rasie some discussion, debate and maybe even thoughtfulness.
