Okay since this topic was heavily discussed in the recent days, an idea came to my mind.
We had different opinions about -100exp being too much or 50exp being to less.
So why don't we calculate depending on the player himself?
I don't know if this is codeable, but it should be possible with a little effort.
Moreover, here is my idea:
Calculating the punishment depending on the leaving player's current exp by 1%
This would mean, a player in the lower stages of the system would benefit from it, and this would cause more leavers in safelow and safehigh e.g. playall.
Example:
A player with 500exp leaves the game. His exp-loss will be calculated to -5exp now.
Okay, thats very few. But we could araise a fixed point for it, meaning -25exp - 1% of his current exp.
=> 500exp player leaves => -25-5 => -30exp for a leave
Regarding it on the higher stages of our system we could have the following situation:
5000exp player leaves => -25-50 => -75exp for a leave
or
20000exp player leaves => -25-200exp => -225exp for a leave
So now a punishment for players above 20k exp will be very very hard, but usually you should not leave if you have those high amounts of exp.
Reminder: This is just an example, numbers can variate in any form and can occasionally be fixed.
=> This can either be modified to regard only the rmk-abuse part before firstblood or used for the whole gametime.
Comments, suggestions, tweaks welcome.
