I don't think it goes that far. IMHO doing such a thing would rather increase the publicity/awareness amount for that target.. like it did. I think it's just some upset cracker that had some issues with iCC. I liked how they wrapped this up, "As most quality websites have such problems, so do we. " :D ..and it's true, Yahoo! also got pinched a while ago. :)

Though this could work when DDoS attacks repeat in a relative short period of time.
